Designing and Building a Folding Kayak

[Jan 27, 2006]

There are easier ways to do this. For one, go to Tom Yost's excellent HowTo site. I just had to do it the hard way...

PaddleAndOar Bookmarks

[Apr. 1, 2007]

It is very difficult to bookmark kayak sites because it's hard to categorize. There are commercial sites that sell kayaks, lessons, books, accessories, etc. There are clubs that are doing some of the same things. And it doesn't get any easier from there.

Over the years I've collected a lot of bookmarks and have recently put them up on the web using the del.icio.us website. It allows one to "tag" the bookmarks. Tagging allows one bookmark to be put into multiple categories.

Still confused? click on the title above or go here » to find out more. Or just go directly to the del.icio.us/paddleandoar site itself.

Choosing the "right" kayak

There are a lot of choices to consider in choosing a kayak. Saying that one is better than another is usually like saying on type of motor vehicle is better than another. The following articles however, are a good place to start.

About this site
This site is a collection of data, links, images etc etc yada yada about (mostly) kayaks. It's where I keep my digital 'stuff'. I've seen a lot of progress in kayak making because of the communication that the internet affords.

Hopefully this will help others to get their feet wet and get into the wonderful world of kayaking and kayak building.

Cheers all,

Paul
